Abstract

In the last four weeks from 14 February to 13 March 2022, there were over 276,000 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) reported in Australia, with weekly cases increasing across the four-week reporting period. In the most recent fortnight, a total of 148,850 confirmed cases were notified (an average of 10,632 cases per day), compared to 127,450 in the previous fortnight (9,104 cases per day).
