There has been an ongoing increase in the weekly number of new cases of COVID-19 since mid-June 2021. The daily average of 947 cases for this reporting period was more than 2.5 times the previous fortnight’s daily average of 348 cases. There were 13,252 cases of COVID-19 reported this fortnight, bringing the 2021 cumulative case count to 23,935.
