Abstract

The Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing established OzFoodNet in 2000 to improve surveillance and conduct applied research on foodborne disease. The network is a collaborative project with Federal, State and Territory governments, academic institutions, and peak bodies for communicable disease control. During the third quarter, the Department of Health and Ageing commissioned an independent review of OzFoodNet activities.
