Abstract

In March 1999, a workshop titled ‘Pneumococcal disease in Australia’ was held at the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance of Vaccine Preventable Disease in Sydney. A summary of the workshop and recommendations for surveillance were subsequently published in Communicable Diseases Intelligence in April 2000.
