Editorial: Outbreak of Campylobacter enteritis, North Queensland

Abstract

Comments on the accompanying article by Merritt et al which describes an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness in which Campylobacter jejuni is identified as the causative organism. The article allows us to focus on an organism which is a significant cause of morbidity in Australia and elsewhere.
