This document is endorsed by the National Tuberculosis Advisory Committee. Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDRTB) is defined as a strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with resistance to at least isoniazid (H) and rifampicin (R), the two key drugs in TB treatment.
