Abstract

This report discusses an outbreak of S. Litchfield, which was associated with a funding raising car rally in the Northern Territory of Australia. This serotype is common in northern Australia but less so in southern Australia. OzFoodNet conducted a multi-jurisdictional investigation to determine the source of the outbreak, the mode of transmission and to recommend appropriate public health actions in response to this outbreak.
